Global Vision 2020 Executive Director

J. Kevin White recently completed a twenty year military career with the United States Marine Corps and United States Navy. He was last stationed at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency as an international policy analyst and program manager in the International Counter-proliferation Program assisting former Soviet Union countries in countering the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

In his fifteen years prior to DTRA Kevin built a solid logistics career within the Marine Corps. He successfully commanded Marines at the platoon, company and detachment levels both in peace and during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Following the completion of his Masters degree of Military Arts & Sciences at the U.S. Army's Command and General Staff College he was stationed at the European Command (EUCOM) as the Humanitarian Assistance Program Manager. There he was able to set objectives for a $16 million budget and influence both military leaders and diplomatic personnel. It was during this period that Kevin pioneered the use of adjustable eye glasses during military humanitarian outreach projects in the developing world. After a successful period in this position he became the Joint Task Force (JTF) Exercise Logistics Planner responsible for all logistical training and certification within the EUCOM area of operations. He developed peacekeeping support operations exercises; maintained oversight of JTF readiness and was hand selected as the EUCOM liaison officer for JTF Lebanon in the summer of 2006.

His awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, various unit and service ribbons and was the Distinguished Combat Service Support Graduate from the USMC's Amphibious Warfare School.

Throughout a varied and challenging career in the U.S. Military Kevin has built skills of leadership, diplomacy, management and resourcefulness. The challenges he faced created an attitude of steadfast determination that he will bring to Global Vision 2020.
