Welcome to the new Global Vision 2020 blog! We’ve decided to launch this to keep you up to date about our work, and to provide a bit of background on vision correction worldwide, some of the science and stories from the distribution work that we do, as well as acting as a central place for news about self-adjustable eyeglasses, vision correction and the global vision to get a billion people wearing glasses by 2020.
By way of quick introduction, my name is Kevin White, and I’m the Executive Director of Global Vision 2020. I was in the US Marine Corps for 24 years where I set up the military’s humanitarian assistance program for adjustable glasses, which to date has distributed around 20,000 adjustable glasses to those who need them. You can find out more about me here. In the next few weeks and months I’ll be joined on the blog by some of my colleagues and those helping Global Vision 2020 out in our mission.
Please don’t forget that we depend on your donations to help bring glasses to the developing world – please help us by donating by clicking here.
Thanks for reading, and please come back regularly!

Looks like the screw driver you are using is tooooo long…a stubby one might work better…
Keep up the good work Kevin.
Gentlemen
You have made an incredible innovation in eye glasses.I know that here in Chile glasses are sold for at least more than U$ 60, WHICH IS 3 TIMES the price of your glases.
One of the highest profits on any article are glases
WHY INSIST IN ELLING GLASES IN AFRICA. FIRST SELL THEN IN THE DEVELOPED WORLD WHERE YOU WILL BE SELLING MILLIONS
uSING THE PROFIT ABY SELLING THESE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE GOOD MONEY WHICH YOU CAN USE TO MAKE CHEAPER (BETWEEN 1 AND TEN DOLLARS AND GIVE THEM TO THE AFRICANS PAYING ONE DOLLAR EACH.
iT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE AFRICANS PAY SOMOTHING OTHEWISE THEY WONT USE THEM
once you start selling in the developed world
you can sell shares of your company in the stock martet and use this money for more research having al ways as your goal to supply the underdeveloped countries
These days of hard investment decision the sure runner are those in the medical field, like glasses and diabetes or cancer
